Massachusetts Lottery Player Wins $500,000 on Scratch Ticket

A Massachusetts Lottery player is celebrating after claiming a $500,000 top prize from a scratch-off ticket purchased in Leominster.

The winning ticket was a $5 Big Blue Bonus Cashword ticket sold at 76 Food Mart. The game has four $500,000 top prizes, and three are still up for grabs.

So far this year, the state's biggest claimed lottery prize has been a $25 million win from a $25,000,000 Mega Money ticket sold at a Cumberland Farms gas station in Turners Falls.
