Maryland Man Thinks $100K Scratch-Off Ticket Is a Misprint Before Big Win
A Maryland man got the surprise of a lifetime after discovering his scratch-off lottery ticket was worth $100,000—even though he was convinced it had to be a mistake.
The Middle River resident bought a $10 50X the Cash scratch-off ticket at a Royal Farms store in Dundalk and waited until he got home to reveal the results.
Here's what happened:
- 🎉 Won a $100,000 top prize.
- 🤯 Initially believed the ticket was misprinted.
- 💰 Plans to put the entire jackpot into savings.
"When I saw the ticket, I thought it had to be a misprint," the winner said. At first, he assumed he was looking at a $100 prize, not $100,000, because the amount seemed too unbelievable.
After taking another look and talking it over with his wife, the couple realized the win was real. Instead of making any big purchases, they decided to play it safe and deposit the money into their savings.
"The last thing I want to do is spend it," the lucky winner said.
