However, the organization has yet to verify if the claim is genuine and if the person is the actual winner.

The winning ticket was sold in New Waterford, N.S., and Atlantic Lottery has expressed its excitement to meet the winner once their identity has been confirmed.

Greg Weston, the communication strategist with Atlantic Lottery, stated that there is a validation process that all winners must go through, which could take up to 30 days to complete.
