Lucky Winner Claims $100,000 Lottery Prize Sold at Massachusetts Stop & Shop
A Massachusetts Stop & Shop grocery store added a touch of excitement to someone's day by selling a winning lottery ticket worth $100,000. The fortunate individual who purchased this ticket came forward to claim their prize on the final day of August.
This $100,000 windfall was the result of playing the Massachusetts State Lottery's scratch ticket game known as "Millions," which requires a $30 investment per ticket. Since its release on August 2, 2022, nearly half of the $100,000 prizes have been claimed by lucky winners. As of September 1, only one grand prize of $15 million from the "Millions" game remains unclaimed.
The winning ticket was sold at a Stop & Shop store located in West Springfield. This particular winner wasted no time in coming forward to collect their well-deserved prize on August 31st.
Massachusetts saw a total of 572 lottery prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed on that day, with 9 in Springfield and 23 in Worcester. The excitement of lottery wins continues to bring joy to many in the state.
