Lucky Massachusetts state lottery player wins a big jackpot from a store

A winning $1 million lottery ticket sold from a Shaw’s grocery store in Massachusetts was claimed on the same day as a $500,000 lottery ticket sold from a Cumberland Farms in the Bay State, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The $1 million lottery ticket was from the “$4,000,000 Mayhem” scratch ticket game, and was one of seven total tickets worth $600 or more claimed from the game on Tuesday, April 25.

A Shaw’s grocery store, located in Worcester, sold the winning $1 million ticket.

There was also a winning $500,000 scratch ticket claimed on Tuesday, and that ticket was purchased from a Cumberland Farms gas station in Mansfield.

The $500,000 ticket was a “500 Grand” scratch ticket, and was one of five tickets worth $600 or more claimed from the game on Tuesday.

Overall, there were more than 921 lottery tickets worth at least $600 won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 28 in Springfield and 30 in Worcester.
