Keremeos resident hits $500,000 worth lottery jackpot

Keremeos resident hits $500,000 worth lottery jackpot, the winner will soon be $500k times richer than before. 

Brian Schwemler's bought the lottery winning ticket from the Canco on Highway 3A in Keremeos. 

Brian Schwemler was at home when he scanned his ticket on the BCLC app and realized he was a winner.

"I first thought, ‘wow’,” Schewmler said. “When I scanned the ticket, I didn’t believe it!”

He quickly shared this amazing news with her daughter, she was very happy for her dad. 

He plans to spend some of the money on warm vacations, then use the rest to enjoy a little more financial freedom.
