Keremeos resident became $500K richer in Lotto Max draw

Someone in Keremeos can't wait to take a vacation somewhere sunny and warm after a $500K Lotto Max win.

Brian Schwemler is the lucky winner who was at home when he scanned his ticket on the BCLC app and realized he was a winner.

The winning lottery ticket was purchased from the Canco on Highway 3A in Keremeos

"I first thought, ‘wow’,” Schumer said. “When I scanned the ticket, I didn’t believe it!” 

When asked how he plans to spend the whole windfall. 

He plans to spend some of the money on warm vacations, then uses the rest to enjoy a little more financial freedom.
