Hereford resident claims $5 million Texas Lottery scratch-off prize
A Hereford resident is now $5 million richer after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket from the Allsup's convenience store.
The prize was part of the $200,000,000 Cash Blowout game, which boasts a total of more than $238.4 million in prizes.
The winner claimed their prize on Thursday, according to the Texas Lottery website, making it the third prize claimed out of four winning tickets in the game.
The Allsup's convenience store, located at 515 South 25 Mile Avenue in Hereford, sold the winning ticket.
The other two winning tickets, which were claimed in 2022, were sold in Gilmer and Corpus Christi.
With a variety of prizes available, including the $5 million jackpot, it's easy to see why so many people are taking a chance on this game.
