Greenville Woman Wins $100k Lottery Prize and Pursues Entrepreneurial Dreams
In a stroke of luck, Kendra Brown, a resident of Greenville, North Carolina, won a $100,000 lottery prize off of a $5 Fire scratch-off from Speedway on South Memorial Drive.
Brown had been dreaming of starting her own trucking company for years, and winning the lottery has given her the opportunity to make her entrepreneurial dreams come true.
After purchasing the scratch-off, Brown noticed all the zeroes on the ticket and knew she had won big.
"It's great to see it come true," she said. Brown, who has been a truck driver for years, expressed her excitement at the prospect of starting her own trucking company and called it a "beautiful opportunity."
Brown collected her prize money from the lottery headquarters on Monday and, after state and federal tax withholdings, received $70,602. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of holding onto one's dreams.
