Greensboro woman won lottery ticket worth more than $500,000 in Cash 5 ticket

Greensboro woman won lottery ticket worth more than $500,000 in Cash 5 ticket, the winner with the jackpot will soon be $599,133 times richer than before. 

The winning lottery ticket was purchased using the Online Play from the lottery app on her phone to purchase the tickets before the deadline, lottery officials said.

Penny Lamb, of Greensboro,  purchased her lottery ticket online, when she was with her pet, taking a evening walk. 

Next day when she woke up she received an e-mail at first she thought that it must be fake but soon “I noticed the email was different,” Lamb said in a statement. 

When she visited the lottery headquarters she decided to get her winnings as a one time lump sum and took home $425,445 after taxes.
