Greensboro Resident Wins $120,000 Cash 5 Jackpot

North Carolina lottery officials announced that Violet Harrison, a recent resident of Greensboro, won the $120,000 Cash 5 Jackpot with a $1 Quick Pick lottery ticket.

Harrison matched all five numbers in the March 7 drawing, becoming the third Cash 5 jackpot winner in the past week.

Harrison was overjoyed and told lottery officials that she tried to stay calm on the outside, but on the inside, she was doing cartwheels. 

The winner decided to get one time lump sum and with that she took home $85,500 after taxes. 

Harrison also stated that winning the jackpot is definitely a blessing in more ways than one.
