Grassroots Wellbeing Receives National Lottery Community Funding

Grassroots Wellbeing Receives National Lottery Community Funding!

We’re excited to share that Grassroots Wellbeing has received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund! This support will help us continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and families.

Founded by Victoria Aregbesola, Grassroots Wellbeing is built on one simple belief: everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and heard.

With over a decade of experience supporting children, young people, and families, Victoria has worked with more than 1,000 young people as a BACP-registered integrative therapist and qualified youth worker.

Through her work, she recognized a major gap: support services don't always reach those who need them most or reflect their cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.

Young people aged 13–25, care-experienced individuals, and families facing financial challenges often struggle to find support that truly understands their circumstances. For Black communities and others facing barriers to services, feeling overlooked can make asking for help even harder.

That's why Grassroots Wellbeing exists—to make support more accessible, inclusive, and meaningful.

Our approach combines:

  • Culturally grounded care that respects individual backgrounds and experiences.
  • Trauma-informed support delivered with compassion and understanding.
  • A judgment-free environment where people feel safe to speak openly.
  • Community-led services shaped by lived experiences and real needs.

With this new funding, we're taking another step toward building stronger communities where every young person and family has the opportunity to thrive.
