Florida man wins $1 Million in gold rush scratch off lottery game

A 61 year old Florida man has “one million reasons to smile this morning” after he won a second-place prize worth $1 million playing the Gold Rush Limited scratch-off game from the Florida Lottery.

Robert White, 61, of Apopka, who claimed his $1 million prize at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office, chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

The retailer who sold out the winning lottery ticket to Robert White will also get a bonus for selling the winning lottery ticket.

The lottery officials said that the winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money.

They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
