FIFA 2026 World Cup: Ticket Sales, Lotteries & Volunteer Opportunities
Excitement is building as the 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket sales finally start rolling out. After more than a year of fans waiting since FIFA first asked supporters to “register interest,” the initial phase officially kicks off this Wednesday.
How to Get in the Game
-
Fans must register on FIFA’s platform by filling out a quick form with basic info like name, email, and language preference.
-
Once submitted, FIFA confirms your interest and later notifies you with next steps.
Priority Access for Visa Cardholders
Here’s where things get exciting: Visa cardholders get the first shot. They’ll be entered into a lottery running from Sept. 11 through Sept. 19, with winners notified by Sept. 30. Lucky fans will then get a specific date and time in October to purchase their tickets.
Multiple Ticket Phases
-
Second phase: Another lottery from Oct. 27–31.
-
Third phase: Opens after the Final Draw, when fans can apply for specific matches.
-
Final phase: Whatever tickets are left will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
FIFA also plans to launch an official ticket resale platform to make things smoother for fans.
Volunteer Opportunities
It’s not just about the tickets—FIFA is also looking for thousands of volunteers. To qualify, you need to be 18+ and commit to at least eight shifts between June 11 and July 19.
Matches in Massachusetts
Gillette Stadium (temporarily renamed Boston Stadium) will be buzzing with action:
-
Group stage matches: June 13, 16, 19, 23, and 26
-
Round of 32: June 29
-
Quarterfinal: July 9
With seven huge matches and thousands of fans expected, Boston is gearing up for a summer to remember.
