East Boston Woman Wins Million-Dollar Prize with Massachusetts State Lottery Scratch Ticket
An East Boston woman has become a millionaire overnight after winning a million-dollar prize with a scratch ticket from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Billion Dollar Extravaganza" game.
The winning lottery ticket was purchased from Neptune Liquors, also located in East Boston.
Jary Rodriguez Temac claimed the prize on Wednesday alongside her husband, Marlon. The game had only gone on sale on February 7th, and state officials have reported that over 540,000 winning tickets have been sold so far.
Retailer also received a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning lottery ticket.
