Canadian Man Decades Long Lottery Tradition Leads to Surprise Win
After witnessing his neighbors' jackpot win, a resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Charles Collison, decided to stick with a set of lottery numbers for his Lotto 6/49 games.
This 57-year-old transportation worker had been faithfully playing these numbers since the 1980s.
One day, as he purchased a lottery ticket, he discovered it came with an extra chance to play.
"This ticket was a free play that I added Encore to," Collison recalled.
With anticipation, he visited his regular store, Food Mart on Lakeshore Road in Mississauga, to have his ticket scanned, realizing he needed to do it himself.
