Burien Store Sells 20 Winning Lottery Tickets in One Night
A single convenience store in Burien turned into a hot spot for lottery luck Wednesday night after selling 20 winning Match 4 tickets, according to Washington’s Lottery. Each ticket scored $10,000, bringing the store’s total payout to an eye-popping $200,000 in just one evening.
The winning tickets were sold at Jay’s Mini Mart on 1st Avenue South. Two more $10,000 Match 4 prizes were also claimed in Lakewood and Tacoma, adding even more excitement across the region.
Washington’s Luckiest Lottery Stores
From Auburn to Spokane, several retailers continue to build a reputation for selling big-winning tickets.
South Puget Sound Highlights
- Fred Meyer in Auburn remains the state’s luckiest store with 20 major wins, including the massive $754.6 million Powerball jackpot ticket sold in 2023.
- Fred Meyer in Renton followed closely with 19 wins.
- Muckleshoot Casino Resort and Fred Meyer in Burien each recorded 16 wins.
- Safeway and Fred Meyer stores in Puyallup also ranked high with double-digit wins.
North Puget Sound
Everett continues to be a lottery hot spot:
- Safeway on Evergreen Way led the area with 13 wins.
- Fred Meyer locations in Everett and Lynnwood each logged 10 wins.
- WinCo Foods in Edmonds stayed on the leaderboard for the third year in a row.
Eastern Washington
Spokane-area retailers posted strong numbers again:
- Super Store in Spokane Valley topped the region with 14 wins.
- Yoke’s Fresh Market and Rosauers locations each reached 12 wins.
- Several Spokane and Deer Park stores added six to eight wins.
Other Lucky Regions
- Vancouver’s Fred Meyer on Mill Plain Boulevard led Southwest Washington with nine wins.
- Kennewick’s Albertsons topped the Tri-Cities with seven wins.
- Wray’s Meadowbrook in Yakima dominated Central Washington with 10 wins for the fifth straight year.
