Brampton Father of Two Wins $1 Million Lotto Max Prize

Brampton resident, Shanmugalingam Kanagaratnam, has become a millionaire thanks to his lucky Lotto Max ticket. 

The 56-year-old father of two has been a regular lottery player, and he has always had a fondness for Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49.

His winning lottery ticket was purchased at JJ Convenience on Cottrelle Boulevard in Brampton.

Kanagaratnam was thrilled when he scanned his ticket after the draw and thought he had won $500,000.

But when he went to the store to have his ticket validated, he was shocked to discover he had won $1 million.

Kanagaratnam was with his son, and they both celebrated their big win and discussed all the things they could do with the money.
