Bradenton Resident Wins $1 Million Powerball Jackpot in North Carolina
A resident of Bradenton, Kevin Dages, struck lottery luck just before the holidays, securing a $1 million win in North Carolina.
His winning ticket, a $2 Powerball purchase from Ingles Markets in Cashiers, matched five of the six drawn numbers on December 18.
After federal and state taxes, Dages claimed a total prize of $715,001. The jackpot at the time was estimated at $544 million for hitting five numbers plus the Powerball.
Dages didn't waste time and claimed his prize at the North Carolina Education Lottery headquarters in Raleigh within the six-month window allowed.
