A lucky lottery player from Rockaway, New Jersey, doubled their winnings after purchasing two Powerball tickets with the exact same numbers, collecting a total of $100,000.

The player bought both tickets at an Alltown store in Darien, Connecticut, along Interstate 95 between Exits 9 and 10. Each ticket won $50,000 in the June 17 Powerball drawing.

Winning Numbers

The player selected:

  • White balls: 3, 26, 36, 49, 61
  • Powerball: 12

Both tickets matched four white balls plus the Powerball, earning the $50,000 prize on each ticket. The official June 17 winning numbers were 3, 26, 49, 53, 61, with Powerball 12.

According to Connecticut Lottery officials, the winner was "very excited and happy" after claiming the prizes and has not yet decided how to spend the money.
