Powerball basics
Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. Arizona time every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. A ticket costs $2 per play, with Power Play available for an extra $1.
To play, choose five white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. You can pick your own numbers or use a random selection.
Powerball has nine ways to win:
- 5 white balls + Powerball — Jackpot
- 5 white balls — $1 million
- 4 white balls + Powerball — $50,000
- 4 white balls — $100
- 3 white balls + Powerball — $100
- 3 white balls — $7
- 2 white balls + Powerball — $7
- 1 white ball + Powerball — $4
- Powerball only — $4
The Power Play can multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times, depending on the drawing and prize.
How to claim an Arizona Lottery prize
Arizona Lottery retailers can cash prizes up to $100 and may redeem prizes of up to $599. For larger winnings, players can claim their prizes by mail or visit an Arizona Lottery office.
For mail-in claims, winners need a completed claim form, the winning ticket and a copy of a government-issued ID.
Important: Sign the back of your winning ticket before submitting it.
Larger prizes can be claimed at Arizona Lottery offices in Phoenix, Tucson, Sky Harbor and Kingman. The Phoenix and Tucson offices can cash prizes of any amount, while the Sky Harbor and Kingman locations can cash prizes up to $49,999.
