Alabama man wins $1 million Florida Lottery prize from a ticket bought in Cantonment
A young man's trip to Florida ended up making him $1 million richer after he bought a winning ticket from the Florida Lottery.
The Lottery announced that Alex Mendoza Moreno, a 22-year-old from Auburn, Alabama, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X The Cash game.
Mendoza Moreno bought the winning ticket from Food Mart at 710 North Highway 29 in Cantonment. He took his winnings home as a one-time payment of $820,000, while the store received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The 500X The Cash game costs $50 and has one remaining top prize of $25 million, along with 23 top prizes of $1 million. The game offers players the chance to win big with its top prize payouts, and many are eagerly trying their luck to see if they can become the next big winner.
