Abbotsford Resident Wins $1M Lottery Prize, Plans to Help Son Buy a Home
Satwant Aujla, a resident of Abbotsford in British Columbia, recently became a millionaire after winning the guaranteed $1 million prize in the Lotto 6/49 draw held on Jan. 25.
The winning ticket was sold at the Chevron station on South Fraser Way. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.
Aujla checked her ticket at two different gas stations to confirm that she was the winner and was left speechless upon realizing the good news.
She told the B.C. Lottery Corporation that since learning about her sudden windfall, she has felt a sense of peace and comfort.
Aujla plans to use the money to help her son buy a home, fulfilling a long-standing desire. The news of the win has been widely celebrated, and the BCLC congratulated the lucky winner.
