A scratch off lottery player from Urbandale wins a big jackpot

An Urbandale resident recently won big with a winning scratch-off lottery ticket.

The lucky individual, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at a local gas station and won a total of $100,000.

The Iowa Lottery said the winning ticket was purchased from the Kum & Go location on Merle Hay Road. The game was the “$100,000 Jackpot” scratch-off game.

The winner said they were shocked to have won such a large sum of money and plan to use the prize to make some much-needed home repairs.

The Iowa Lottery encourages players to play responsibly and sign the back of their lottery tickets as soon as they’re purchased.

All lottery prizes must be claimed at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive. The winner has 180 days from the game’s end-sale date to claim their prize.
