A Powerball lottery player from Tomball wins $2 million recently

Sometimes it seems like people in East Texas, especially near Houston, have all the luck as another resident in the area is a new multimillionaire from the Texas Lottery.

A resident in Tomball, Texas, a town that is just northwest of Houston, won $2 million off a Powerball ticket, according to a Monday news release from the Texas Lottery.

The lucky Powerball player purchased the ticket from the Rosehill Mini Mart located at 18402 Farm to Market 2920, Tomball, TX 77377.

The winner chose to remain anonymous. Most people win the second top prize of $1 million off Powerball tickets by having five numbers match their ticket except the red Powerball.

The Tomball resident won $2 million off this ticket by selecting and matching a Power Play number.
