A Pamlico resident won $100,000 and surprised his wife

A Pamlico resident won $100,000 and surprised his wife, he won the prize and waited two months just to surprise his wife. 

Jone Buadromo of Bayboro purchased the lottery winning Powerball ticket from the Handy Mart on N.C. 55 in Alliance for the April 11 drawing, but he did not claim his prize immediately. He waited because he wanted to surprise his wife on her birthday.

" I waited until the end of May because I wanted to surprise her on her birthday with the win,” Buadromo said. 

He purchased the Powerball ticket for just $3 and won $100k, the ticket matched four out of five numbers and a Powerball which leads to doubling his prize from $50k to $100k.
