A Midlands women won $75,000 lottery , calls it Fate
The lucky woman says couldn’t change lanes to stop at the store she was planning to, so she pulled in at the North Main Street in Sumter instead.
There she spent $3 on a lottery ticket, scratched it, and couldn’t believe her good fortune when she won $75,000.
The ticket distributor got $750 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
“I was speechless,” the winner told South Carolina Lottery officials. “I had my husband look at it, and he didn’t believe it either.”
She downloaded the Lottery’s app and scanned the ticket to be sure it was real. When the message told her to claim the prize in Columbia, she knew they’d won big.
She plans to pay off her house with the money.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 528,000 to leave three top prizes of $75,000 in the Bingo Squared game.
