A Massachusetts lottery player wins $1 million from $50 ticket
A $1 million lottery prize was claimed on Wednesday in Massachusetts from a $50 scratch ticket game, exactly five months to the date of the game’s initial release.
The $1 million prize was sold in Westport, from Harry’s Country Store. It was from the “Billion Dollar Extravaganza” scratch ticket game, the most expensive lottery scratch ticket game to play in the state with the largest grand prize available to win.
The prize claimed Wednesday was the sixth $1 million ticket claimed from the game, with nine remaining as of June 7. There have been no $2 million prizes or $25 million grand prize tickets claimed since its release in Feb. of this year.
There was also a $100,000 “Mass Cash” prize won in Palmer from a Pride Station & Store during the daily drawing.
Overall, there were at least 569 lottery prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed in Massachusetts on Wednesday, including 15 in Springfield and 21 in Worcester.
