A Massachusetts lottery from Hyde park scoops a big jackpot recently

A Massachusetts State Lottery player took home the top prize in the lottery’s “Mass Cash” game after buying their ticket at a variety store in Boston.

The winning ticket was sold at V & D Variety store, located at 1897 River St. in Hyde Park, the lottery said. The winning numbers from the Oct. 21 drawing were 1, 2, 9, 24 and 29.

The game works by players choosing five numbers between 1 and 35, and there are three available prizes to win. If all five numbers match the numbers drawn, the “Mass Cash” player wins $100,000.

If the ticket matches four numbers, the prize is $250, and if they match three, the prize is $10. “Mass Cash” drawings occur daily at 9 p.m., and tickets cost $1.

Overall, there were at least 230 winning lottery tickets worth $600 or more won or claimed in Massachusetts on Saturday, including eight in Springfield and five in Worcester.
