A lucky woman from Lorain wins $2 million in scratch off lottery game

It’s been a whirlwind week for Mary Caudill of Lorain. The Northeast Ohio woman won a staggering prize on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket.

Mary Caudill of Lorain recently bought a Maximum Millions scratch-off ticket for $20.

She won the top prize, according to the Ohio Lottery. It’s $80,000 a year for 25 years, a $2 million prize! She chose the cash option. She’ll take home $720,000 after taxes.

It’s a blessing for Caudill and her three children and 2-year-old grandson Landon. “We found out at 3 months old he had cirrhosis of the liver.

He had his first transplant at 6 months old,” she said. Since then, Landon has had more than 30 surgeries, and Mary’s son Jacob gave Landon a portion of his liver.
