A lucky Terrell resident wins $1 million recently in Texas lottery game
A Terrell resident won $1 million on the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game 500X, the Texas Lottery Commission said in a news release Thursday.
The claimant, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the top-prize-winning ticket at Stop Food Mart at 6600 Meadowbrook Drive in Fort Worth.
The Texas Lottery sold its first ticket in 1992, and according to the release, has generated nearly $36 billion for the state.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money and if not claimed then it will be donated to a charity.
