A 75-year-old regular lottery player from North Bay has won $200,000 playing an instant scratch ticket game.

While he didn't win the top prize of the Instant $2 Million Extreme game, Jimmy Lahti still won a big chunk of change.

Jimmy Lahti, 75, won $200K in lottery scratch game "I was playing my ticket and when I uncovered $200,000, I went to the store right away to validate the ticket," Lahti told Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation staff at the Toronto prize centre when he went to pick up his winnings.

"I am usually pretty calm, but I was very happy. I wanted to ensure my ticket was really a big winner before I got too excited."
