A fortunate Sydney guy scoops $10 million recently on his birthday

A Sydney man has celebrated his birthday in a big way, winning a $10 million lottery prize.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the Division One prize in the Saturday Lotto draw. The lucky winner said he was in disbelief when he realised he’d won the multimillion-dollar windfall.

“I thought I had won a few hundred dollars and then I saw the amount and I just couldn’t believe it,” he said.

The man had purchased his ticket from a newsagency in Sydney’s CBD, and plans to use his winnings to buy a new home and car, and to travel.

“I’ve already started looking for properties,” he said. “I’m also looking forward to doing some travelling and visiting some of the places I’ve always wanted to go.”

The winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw were 22, 6, 34, 4, 23, 15 and 19. The supplementary numbers were 37 and 28.
