A fortunate Plainfield guy wins $9.4 million recently in a lotto lottery game

A lucky Lotto! player from Plainfield woke up $9.4 million richer earlier this week. The Connecticut Lottery’s drawing happened Friday, and the winning numbers were 6, 7, 15, 22, 28, 42.

It posted a photo of the winning ticket to its Facebook page. According to the Connecticut Lottery, the chances of winning the jackpot prize were 1 in 7,059,052.

Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at Gibbs in Colchester. While only one ticket won the jackpot, there were several other winning tickets for smaller cash prizes.

The Connecticut Lottery said 8,440 winning tickets were sold. “Once it hits a hundred million, that’s typically when I go crazy and start buying a lot,” said Vincent Morin of Middletown.

“I’ve actually read quick picks are the way to do it. People who pick their numbers, you hear about them winning but more often than not it’s the quick picks.”
