A fortunate lotto lottery winner from Charlotte scoops a big jackpot recently

A lucky winner from Charlotte won a big jackpot worth of $1 million prize from a scratch-off ticket, the North Carolina Education Lottery announced on Tuesday.

The North Carolina lottery says Angelita Blackstock bought a $30 Millionaire Maker ticket from a convenience store on Brookshire Boulevard, and she unveiled the top prize.

Blackstock claimed her prize on Monday, according to lottery officials.

She ended up choosing a lump sum one time payout of $600,000 and took home $427,509 after all the state taxes.

Lottery officials have previously told Channel 9 that most people do take the lump sum.

The winner told the lottery officials that she will be going to pay all her pending taxes and plan on buying a new car after claiming her winning prize money.
