A big $1 million mega millions lottery ticket is sold out in Columbia

Someone in the Columbia area has just won a million-dollar windfall right at the start of the holiday season.

The South Carolina Education Lottery say a Mega Millions ticket sold at the Murphy Express at 210 Ricky Ln in northeast Columbia matched all five white ball numbers drawn for Friday, Nov. 17: 6-12-31-33-69 Megaball: 17.

The odds of winning $1 MILLION are 1 in 12,607,306. The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing is an estimated $289 million.
