$44M Lottery Winner in Kissimmee Urged to Claim Prize Before Monday Deadline

A winning lottery ticket worth $44 million was sold in Kissimmee, Florida, several months ago, and the deadline for the winner to claim the prize is approaching on Monday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sunoco Express on North Orange Blossom Trail. The store owner, Navjeet Khela, expressed his excitement about the significant win and encouraged customers to check their tickets.

The store will receive a percentage of the prize, regardless of whether the winner comes forward. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize, and with Monday being the deadline, there's hope that the lucky individual will step forward. If unclaimed, part of the prize money will be allocated to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.

John Davis, secretary of the Florida Lottery, expressed optimism about the winner coming forward before the deadline, highlighting that there have been 30 unclaimed jackpots since the lotto's launch. He emphasized the importance of the winner visiting the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee to make their claim.
