2 MD lottery players wins $10,000 recently in Annapolis recently

Two lottery players won or claimed a combined $20,000 last week in Anne Arundel County.

Around the state, 37 tickets worth at least $10,000 were sold or redeemed in the week ending Oct. 31.

The Maryland Lottery paid nearly $28.2 million in prizes over those seven days. The state's top prize of $1 million came on a Powerball ticket sold Friday at Giant #310 in Bowie.

That draw game ticket was unclaimed as of Monday. That winner was one of eight in Maryland to score at least $50,000 playing Powerball last week.

Nobody hit the jackpot, however, so the prize pool grew to $1 billion before Monday's drawing.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
