$1.3M Lottery Ticket Still Unclaimed in New Jersey — Time’s Almost Up!

Someone in New Jersey could be sitting on a life-changing fortune — but time’s almost up to claim it.

A $1,300,245 Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold nearly a year ago in Monmouth County is still unclaimed. The ticket was purchased at the Wawa on Route 9 in Freehold on November 25, 2024, and the deadline to claim the jackpot hits late November 2025.

So, before you toss that old jacket or clean your car, check everywhere — coat pockets, glove boxes, behind the fridge — because that winning ticket could be hiding in plain sight!

Under New Jersey law, winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. Lottery officials are urging players to recheck old slips, recalling how one lucky player once found a forgotten Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million — four months after the draw.

And this isn’t the only prize on the clock. Other soon-to-expire wins include a $150,000 Jersey Cash 5 ticket from Belleville and a $50,000 Powerball ticket from Paramus.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Scan your tickets at any authorized NJ Lottery retailer

  • Use the NJ Lottery mobile app

  • Or manually check your numbers online

Since 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has funneled nearly $34.6 billion back into the state — supporting education, public services, and pensions.
