A prize-winning Take 5 ticket worth $17,259.50 was sold in West Babylon in June, according to the New York Lottery.

The lucky winner purchased the ticket at Stop & Shop on Montauk Highway in West Babylon. So far, no news on who the winner is.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., according to the lottery.

The New York Lottery generated $3.7 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2022-2023. From the lottery sales, nearly $600 million in funding went to Long Island schools, Patch reported.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize, money lottery officials.
