A Salem shop sold out $1 million Massachusetts lottery ticket

A Massachusetts state lottery player wins $1 million recently from Salem shop

A shop in Salem was the retailer of a winning $1 million lottery ticket that was claimed on Thursday, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The $1 million prize was from the “$4,000,000 Diamonds” scratch ticket game, and was the second $1 million claimed from the game since its release on April 18.

It was one of 16 total tickets from the game worth $600 or more claimed on June 29. The store that sold the winning $1 million ticket is located in Salem and called E Market.

There were also two $100,000 “Mass Cash” prizes won during the drawing on Thursday, the lottery said.

One of the $100,000 prizes was sold at a Market Basket in North Andover, while the other was sold at Wave Express in Mattapan.

The winning numbers for Thursday’s “Mass Cash” drawing were 2, 6, 19, 24 and 27. “Mass Cash” drawings occur daily at 9 p.m. Tickets to play are $1.
