The Mega Millions jackpot has swelled to a whopping $1.25 billion, but someone in Massachusetts is waking up to life-changing money.

The numbers drawn on Tuesday night for the $1.1 billion grand prize were 8-24-30-45-61 and the Megaball was 12. The multiplier was 4X.

No one in America won the jackpot, however, a winning ticket worth $1 million was sold locally. A spokesman for the Massachusetts Lottery confirmed the ticket was sold to someone at Fiori’s Gulf at 740 Chief Justice Cushing Highway in Cohasset.

Friday’s jackpot could jump into the top three in Mega Millions history, surpassing a $1.337 billion ticket that was won in Illinois in July 2022.

In order to win the jackpot, players have to match all five white balls and the Megaball.

Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. They are $2 each. Drawings are conducted at 11 p.m. EDT on Tuesdays and Fridays.
