The $15.5 million prize from the Super Saturday Lotto Powerball draw has yet to be claimed by the winner who purchased the ticket from Canterbury.

The draw, which saw half of its proceeds going towards Cyclone Gabrielle relief efforts, raised a total of $11.7 million for the cause.

Lotto NZ chief executive Chris Lyman expressed his gratitude to New Zealanders for their support, saying it exceeded all expectations and will make a real difference to those impacted by the cyclone.

Internal Affairs Minister Barbara Edmonds also thanked everyone who contributed to the draw, stating that the funds will make a huge difference in helping people and businesses recover and build back better.

With the $15.5 million prize still unclaimed, the winner is urged to come forward and claim their life-changing prize.
