A lucky man from Winnipeg named Denroy Warmington, who won a whopping sum of $1 million playing Western Max lottery game, plans to retire after this huge win.

The winning ticket was purchased from the Prairies and territories at the Norvilla Hotel on Henderson Highway. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket 

Warmington matched the seven main draw numbers to win $1 million. The ticket for this drawing was only worth $5.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is a Canadian non-profit organization founded in 1974 that operates lottery and gaming-related activities for its members, the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. 

In conjunction with the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, WCLC offers Canada's highest payout lotteries, Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max (which replaced Lotto Super 7 in September 2009), and Daily Grand.
