Winning Powerball ticket worth $50,0000 sold in Stamford
A winning Powerball lottery ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Stamford for Saturday night's drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased from a convenience store at a gas station located at 910 High Ridge Road. The store will receive a bonus of $500 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.
According to the Connecticut Lottery, the anonymous winner from Norwalk claimed a $50,000.
The Connecticut Lottery Corporation, also called the CT Lottery, is the official lottery in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Lottery offers several in-house drawing games; Connecticut also participates in Mega Millions and Powerball; each are played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 10:59 p.m.
