Winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million sold in Florida

A winning Powerball lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold in Florida for Wednesday night’s drawing. 

The winning ticket was sold at RaceTrac at 24224 US Highway 27 in Lake Wales, which is in Polk County. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

The winning numbers for Wednesday's drawing were: 31-43-58-59-66 and 9 as the Powerball. The winning ticket matched five of five numbers. 

With no jackpot winner in Wednesday night’s drawing, Saturday night’s drawing will be for $700 million. 

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
