Winning Powerball ticket sold in Rochester

Reports indicate that a $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Rochester for the Nov. 29 drawing and that it was purchased by a Rochester resident.

Neither of the two second-prize tickets had been picked up yet. The winning tickets include the Powerball number as well as four matching digits.

On Lake Avenue, Lake Stop & Go sold the Rochester ticket.

At the Stewart's Shop on Main Streets in Rosendale, the second ticket was bought.

There were six winning numbers in the Nov. 29 Powerball drawing, with the Powerball number 17: 18, 26, 28, 38, 47.

This year's jackpot amounted to $243 million. The winning Powerball numbers are picked from a range of one to 69. From a different field, the Powerball number is selected.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m., the Powerball drawing is shown on site.
