Winners Share Stories of Instant Ticket Triumphs

In Newport, a woman had a unique routine of scanning barcodes on her Instant Tickets before scratching them.

She initially thought she had won a couple of thousand dollars when her "Rhode Island Red" Instant Ticket prompted her to claim her prize at the Lottery Headquarters.

However, to her delight, she had actually secured a $50,000 win. The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on Memorial Blvd. in Newport.

In another stroke of luck, a Providence resident played the Evening Daily Number drawn on August 31, which resulted in a substantial prize of $76,832.

He had a heartwarming tradition of using numbers associated with his mother's birthday (3 7 9 5). This time, he purchased five $1 combination tickets at Bally’s Twin River in Lincoln and plans to use his winnings for his business.

Meanwhile, another man from Providence, known for playing the $2 Crossword Instant Game, decided to try his luck with the $10 "Mega Crossword" Instant Ticket at New Lanes in Providence.

His decision paid off handsomely as he walked away with a $75,000 win. He intends to allocate the money towards retirement, paying bills, and investments.
