A Wilmot resident is celebrating a $1 million lottery win thanks to an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Chandra Potschner had purchased two tickets for the Billion game, each costing $50.
Her second ticket turned out to be a winner, securing her the $1 million annuity second-tier prize.
While this prize is typically paid out as $50,000 annually for 20 years, Potschner opted for the $500,000 cash option, which will yield approximately $360,000 after tax deductions.
She bought her winning ticket at the Speedway located on Erie Ave. SW in Perry Township. Potschner plans to invest her newfound fortune.
The Billion game still has 83 second-tier prizes up for grabs as of the latest report from the Ohio Lottery.
