A resident of Tampa, Kiet Tran, is celebrating after claiming a remarkable $1 million prize from the "Million-Dollar-a-Year for Life" game by the Florida Lottery.

The winning scratch-off ticket was purchased at Active Food Mart on 1401 West Waters Ave. in Tampa, earning the store a commendable $2,000 bonus commission.

Tran decided to receive his prize in the form of a $640,000 lump sum, as confirmed by the Florida Lottery.

The scratch-off game, which premiered in February, offers enticing prizes, including two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and an additional 234 prizes of $1 million, alongside smaller cash prizes.
